Allyson McCabe reports and produces music stories for NPR, other public radio stations and programs, and podcasts. A long-time featured music columnist at The Rumpus, she also reviews music-related books for the San Francisco Chronicle, and writes music criticism for the Brooklyn Rail.  Allyson previously taught narrative nonfiction and writing for radio at Yale, where she facilitated several student-led storytelling projects, and hosted many distinguished guests from the worlds of long-form journalism, non-fiction writing, and public radio.

 

Kevin Wortis, a 20-year music industry veteran, worked for years as a booking agent, artist manager and label head before joining the marquee music PR, marketing and management firm Girlie Action Media in 2011. Kevin has worked with a wide range of acclaimed acts such as Swans, Sigur Ros, Sharon Jones, The Cure, David Lynch, Pretty Lights and Grace Jones and has been a featured speaker and panelist at music industry events such as Midem and SXSW.

Vanishing Ink is produced/engineered/mixed by Allyson McCabe and co-hosted by Kevin Wortis. Our Volume 1 scribblers include Portia Sabin(Kill Rock Stars), John S.
